Barre is a fun sport where you work with the help of a barre and also on the middle floor, to the rhythm of the music. In the class, strength is trained in the glutes, middle body and upper and middle back. The class includes plié and relevé movements familiar from ballet, but barre is not ballet! Barre is also not Pilates, but a sport of its own, where the body’s deep muscle chains are ignited, and you become aware of the body’s lines. Small dumbbells are used in classes. At Annika’s barre class, you’re guaranteed to feel your glutes and sweat!
